Will you get a new PC in 4 years?

Apple OS-X Updates are by far less aggressiv or invasive than Microsoft.
I use a PC at work and Apple in private.
My work PC updates once or twice a week and every time more and more crap gets installed.
the OS X versions arent updates. they are new operating systems. youre still getting updates

so.. 13 ?
and windows had xp, vista, 7, 8 10, ?
You wont need a new computer to get windows 11.
Hell you can install windows 10 on the oldest piece of shıt (x64) you can find.
The world runs on Windows and Linux. MACS are cute.
No, but you need TPM. 2.0 or was it PMS 2.0 ? i cant remember ,
so you need to put that chip in your computer, pretty sure most people will not dare to try and do that

I probably will... because I will want something more cutting edge by then.

Or stick with your current PC and get no windows 10 updates, or switch to another system, or will you buy a new PC?

Microsoft is forcing us to choose, as you may know. Very annoying, i like the one i have now, with all the programs, downloads, personal info, bookmarks, etc etc ......... real irritating to have to get a new one, when the one you have now runs perfectly.

.
someone is talking about windows vs linux
Windows 11 Makes Your Hardware Obsolete, Use Linux Instead! - It's FOSS News
This is just as bad as the news with their sky is falling BS everyday. The rate technology changes in the last ten years and people trying to keep current with their neighbors goes, how many average consumers sit on a piece of tech for more than 3-5 years anyway? If you take the time to learn how to build a PC, which is easier than it seems and cheaper, this will never be an issue. You can upgrade a single piece for a fraction of replacing the entire item, like a $3500 macbook which will loose complete support in 3-4 years. Besides, when you can run any of the three (Windows, MAC or Linux) on a custom build it's clear which is the best investment.

I know how to build, but I’ve been running the same laptop for nearly 9 Years lol. I don’t do anything hardcore enough to need better stats

a few members use Apple computers, okay... but 75% of the world use windows PC's..... microsoft really want to make money this time!
remember when they said: no more windows 11,12 etc etc.....
what a bunch of bullshit!

And think of the impact of 100 of millions of computers that now will be thrown in the garbage bin. A very eco friendly move by microsoft huh?
Yet my Mac is still going like it’s brand new after 6 years plus of using it all day everyday. No crashing, no pop ups, no ‘virus’s’ (virus’s are part of windows planned obscolesence con)

It just works and does whatever I ask of it - like an old TV. Just fire it up abs away you go. PERFECTION.

Moors law suggests tech has stalled about ten years ago and I would agree. There’s nothing new since the first iPhone appeared. Nothing whatsoever - all the stuff since is just a variation on what we’ve already got.

Mass world mind control is the new ‘tech’ which is actually causing a regression.

Your lack of Viruses is more a reflection of your internet skills than of the quality of your equipment. There are Mac viruses, you’re just careful and don’t catch them.

Just be smart, always clear browser history and run virus scans after each visit to midget porn sites.
